Toshiba to Roll-Out Wifi Service in U.S.
Toshiba plans to roll-out what it calls, MyConnect, a WiFi service which promises roaming laptop users access to 20,000 hotspots across the USA. This should create an interesting confusion amongst consumers, as Toshiba will not be providing the wireless service. MyConnect will instead, enable subscribers to log-on to most of the access points already available throughout the country. If you go for this kind of stuff, for under $50 a month, this could be significantly cheaper than subscribing to multiple services. Interesting concept, still not seamless WiFi which is no doubt where we’d like to see this go.
