Linux on a CF Card
Why waste time installing Linux, when you can waste money. C Data Solutions has created an $800 CF card which essentially acts as a HDD loaded with Linux. The only advantage here is that pocket-sized devices can run the OS. Other than that, a normal HDD and a free brew of Linux would easily get the job done at a fraction of the cost.
C Data Solutions has shoehorned a complete Linux-based computer system into a Type II CompactFlash (CF) card. The “Compact Flash Computer” (CFC) can be mixed and matched with third-party CF-card peripherals to instantly create miniscule Linux systems based entirely on CompactFlash cards, without requiring hardware or software design or debug.
