Airport Express Cracked
Everyone was wondering how long it it would take before someone cracked the public key encryption that Apple’s AirPort Express uses to allow software to play audio through it. Jon Lech Johnasen, also the creator of DeCSS, has posted to his website, the public key as well as a software application (for Windows command-line) that streams Apple Loss-less MPEG-4 audio to an AirPort Express.
What does this mean to you? Basically this opens up the door for applications other than iTunes to stream audio through the Airport Express. For example, you could be watching a movie via the Windows Media Player and listening to the sound wirelessly on speakers across the room.
