DRMless Interface to the iTunes Music Store

pymusiqueOnce again, DRM-evading Jon Lech Johnasen has thwarted Stevie and Apple. “DVD Jon” has, this time, created PyMusique, a “fair interface to the iTunes music store.” Apparently iTunes does not encrypt a song, until the download takes place. This allows for PyMusique to sneak between your transaction and iTunes enabling a DRM-free download.

Interesting stuff which, if it were that easy, would really cause a stir. If you’re a Mac user, you’ll have to compile the package from source. Windows users get the fancy executable.
