Megaupload: Free Large File Hosting

megaupload
If you’ve ever wanted to host a large file, but didn’t have the bandwidth to do so, there are a few free web based services that will help you out. After a brief infatuation with Dropload, we’ve moved on to bigger and better - though Dropload still serves it purpose for smaller 1:1 transfers. The bigger and better? Megaupload. Without sounding too much like an advertisement, Megaupload allows you to upload files up to 500mb. The file/files remain available until they have gone undownloaded for 30 days. We may just have to move our How to play NES ROMs on the PSP video to Megaupload.

Crap upload and download speeds unless you purchase their premium membership … if you are a preimum user, all the people that download off you would also need to be a premium member unless otherwise they continue to suffer crap speeds
I bought their account as soon as premium membership was available … deeply regret it … support is hopeless, (actually there is no support) … questions not answered ..
another site that makes big promises and delivers nothing …
might as well use the money to buy a stable web hosting site.

Megaupload … this is for not returning our numerous emails, and not attending to any of our problems …

Megaupload is a good site, but they have too many problems. For one, everyone uploads illegal files to it that use tons of bandwidth (and therefore slow everything else down). I have never needed their support (thank god, reading the review above ;)) I prefer other ones, like RapidShare and FileFront.
    Cheers!

If I type in www.megaupload.com in FireFox, after the page loads I cannot do anything else otherwise the whole PC freezes, and I have to reboot to cure it.

For example, I load the page, then press CTrl/Alt/Delete, and the PC freezes.
It never does it with any other site!

I just found another site that provides similar file hosting service like megaupload and they don’t have any restriction on the file size you upload or how many files you can download. Sounds pretty good! Go and check it out yourself - www.nakido.com.

  13. LEE Says:

I am using free service at megaupload. The speed is not bad. Depending on the time, I could get from 200-1000Kbs. I am not sure what the limited bandwidth is but I can download as much as 800Mb (per 8 hours?)

  17. tony Says:

The download manager i use for rapidshare and megaupload is free download manger it has a resume feature.I suggest you use netpumper for megaupload youll get faster speeds.Dont use netpumper for rapidshare as it doesnt support it, i hope this helps some people hi from new zealand. And yes i have a paid rapidshare account as well.

Megaupload is crap. I already change to Nakido as they claimed that they provide unlimited upload/download size for free.

  24. LegendaryLvl1 Says:

Ive recently purchased a premium account at megaupload for 10 bux, and compared to other dl/upload services, they are pretty good, i’ve been getting speeds of up to 1.4mb/s with them, and many other people with files i need often use them themselves.
