Clipmarks: Another Solid Web 2.0 Idea

As 2005 comes to a close, there is no doubt that this has been the biggest year for the over-promised Web 2.0 “platform” to date. Web based applications are popping up daily thanks to more powerful web browsers and the use of different programming techniques such as the increasingly popular use of AJAX. Among some of the more interesting Web 2.0 applications we have come across is Clipmarks. All throughout my web browsing career I have been faced with the dilemma of bookmarking sites. But sometimes I’ve wasted precious bookmark real-estate for a key paragraph, a short how-to, or a picture. Through the use of IE or Firefox add-ons, Clipmarks, allows you to take a clip from a page, a picture, text, or anything really and save that portion of the web page for later viewing. If you’ve ever found yourself stuck in the to bookmark or not to bookmark bind, Clipmarks may be worth checking out.
