According to our source at Verizon, the Motorola Q will not be launching this month. Coming out of “friendly-user testing,” Verizon is looking for keyboard modifications thought to be along the lines of bigger keys and some changes to the way certain keys interact with the phone’s OS. When asked about the EVDO capability of the Q, specifically in relation to the use of applications such as Slingbox’s Sling Player Mobile, our source tells us that though the capability may be there, users downloading gigabytes of data through Verizon’s EVDO network will be turned off. Verizon’s target market for this device and their EVDO service is the businessman - not the techie.

The latest Web 2.0 site we’ve stumbled accross:Listible!. Listible! is another social bookmark type site, but with a small twist. Here you can vote for whether the site is good or bad. For example, of the sites listed under Best Time Wasters, the Falling Sand Game takes the cake.

I was recently contacted by Sprint with an offer to join their Sprint Ambassador Program. As a part of this program, Sprint has sent me a Samsung A920 phone complete with voice and data service including access to their Music Store and Sprint Power Vision Network. If there was one thing we still used Yahoo! for it was Yahoo! Finance. Well, as of today we can kick that old bird to the curb and fire up Google Finance. With all of the AJAXy goodness that makes Google Maps and GMail so great, Google Finance brings together interactive financial charts, news headlines, blog posts and discussions all while keeping the page layout simple and easy to navigate. As expected, the torrent sites are alive and kicking it with a premade Windows XP for OS X install disc. The disc combines the now infamous $13,000 bootloader with your typical Windows XP install disc, making sure you Intel Apple heads are totally covered and totally illegal. This is another one of those, if you have to ask, don’t. You should know where to look.

Thumbs down to cbssportsline.com for their poor implementation and fundamental understanding of what exactly it means to be a VIP. When the General Admission “line” is shorter than the VIP line, don’t tell me “It’s good to be you!”

Well, it looks as if the contest to dual-boot Windows XP and OS X on the new Intel based Macs is over. The winner will receive $13,854 which was donated by various interested parties (some individuals, some corporations). A download of the “hack” is expected to be released shortly.
